The pink trillium wild forest flower is a beautiful, three-pedaled perennial flower resembling a Lillie missing half its pedals. Although its colors vary, the pink trilliums range between different tones from soft, solid blush to bright, almost neon pink. Some can mix the tones, making it look more like the Lillie.
The Pink Trillium Has Many Names
Trillium grandiflorum, white wake-robin, large trillium...these are just a few of its names. The famous flower ranges from very tiny to large and full of petals. It loves shade or partial shade and is native to places with woodlands. The flowers usually bloom in spring, in May and June.
The Pink Trillium Is A Smaller Built Plant
The plant grows up to 18 inches, if not taller. As with most bushes and flowers, the more care and trim it gets, the more it will bush out. The flower can grow to about 2-3 inches with prominent stamens in the center.
The Pink Trillium Has Stunning Foliage
Like the flower, the top foliage the bloom sits on has three leaves about 6 inches in size. The flowers start as white but grow pink and fabulous with time and age.
