Description: An eye-catcher in yard landscaping is the gorgeous flowering tree in the Cornaceae family. Its delicate pink flowering bracts cover the tree branches in the springtime once it reaches maturity. History
In 1731, it was first cultivated in Kentucky, with a native range to Florida, Oklahoma, Mexico, Massachusetts, and Texas. J.C. Higgins from Mayfield, Kentucky, introduced this tree, one of the best of all its species cultivars.
