Description

European Ginger is native to Canada and the United States.

European Ginger is a beautiful low-growing ground cover for shaded woodland areas or edging and naturalizing. In the early spring, be careful when walking or raking out woodland gardens, as ginger produces unique purple-flowered jug-like blossoms that are genuinely different from other perennials.

Not only does it have pointy-shaped leaves and is slightly taller than wild ginger, but it also produces unique purple flowers or jug-like blossoms that are genuinely different from other perennials.

A native plant, Asarum arifolium, Arrow-leaf Ginger is the taller of all ginger plants. Its pointy-shaped leaves are perfect for edging and naturalizing.

Arrow-leaf Ginger is the perfect plant to add color and interest to shaded woodland areas of your garden. This low-growing ground cover produces unique jug-like blossoms throughout the spring months.

Native from Texas to Florida, Arrow-Leaf Ginger, also known as Asarum arifolium, is a stunning ground cover. Although it is a slow grower, this plant is worth the wait. It's no wonder why this will indeed become the favorite in your garden!

Ever visit a garden that looks more like a jungle? That's the power of low-growing plants like Arrow-Leaf Ginger. Plant these in your woodland area and watch them naturalize and spread into a lush green mass. They're also great as a pretty ground cover to plant between your stepping stones or along paths in a shade garden.

The European Ginger plant is ideal for planting in shaded areas.

Even those areas with partial shade are a great place for the Arrowleaf Ginger to grow. The best time to see this plant bloom would be at the beginning of the summer season. And if you are looking to see growth in the Arrowleaf Ginger, be prepared to have some patience. This plant takes some time to spread, fully grow and bloom. Its deep green color is quite stunning and beautiful.
