We dig fresh our plants and ship immediately. We ship US Mail, Priority shipping. You will receive a tracking number once your plants ship. All plants will be fine in their packages for up to 3 days after receiving.

How We Protect Your Plants For Transit

We sell only bare root plants. We dip the roots in tera-sorb silicone gel to retain ample moisture for transit and surround with plastic. This is superior protection for plants in transit for up to 12 days.

Upon Receipt Of Your Plants

Open your plants and inspect the same day received. We offer 3 days to report any problems with your order. Bare root plants need to be planted within 2-3 days of receiving unless weather-related problems prohibit planting. Store in a cool place and keep roots moist and covered with plastic until they can be planted. Water for the first week daily after planting.

Least Bluet is a flowering plant with light blue-violet flowers 

It grows naturally into large patches that need little maintenance. This plant’s botanical name is Houstonia pusilla. Its other local names include Tiny Bluet Small Bluet, caused by their size.

  Some of the factors that promote Houstonia pusilla include the choice of hardy planting zones, amount of sun or shade required, blooming season and color, heights at maturity, and soil types needed, to mention but a few. Below is a discussion of the conditions mentioned above.

Hardy Planting Zone 

Least Bluet is mainly found in wet forests and hillsides

Houstonia pusilla can endure frigid weather during spring. This flowering plant blossoms in planting zones 3-9. Professionals recommend moderate watering of this plant to promote its vast growth.

Houstonia pusilla blooms during the late spring and early fall seasons. Flowering happens from May to July during the year. They bloom abundantly in their basal rosette structure, forming an attractive layer of blue-violet flowers. They are simple to transplant by digging up a clump and moving to the desired location. Experts recommend that you should transplant during a time when the frost has passed. People believe that these flowers provide peace and tranquility during the bloom season The plant typically blossoms to a mature peak of 6.1 to 8.0 inches and 8.0 to 10.1 inches broad. Experts advise gardeners to propagate it from seed. When the gardeners do that from source by direct sowing, it progressively grows into dense clusters.

This plant grows best in sandy soil, humus-rich soil, and any well-drained soil.  Least Bluet does best in full sunlight and can alternate with part shade. It is recommended to water the plant frequently while under direct sunlight. However, do not overdo the watering.
