Considerations

The River Birch's trunk is a beautiful cinnamon color and bears shiny dark green colored leaves. The trunk of the River Birch will become more brown-colored and bear darker leaves in summer. In the fall, the leaves change from dark green to a unique reddish-orange. The River Birch will attract lovely birds and bug pollinators to your home garden since it is a sap producer, with rich dark green leaves and lovely white flowers. Since it has thin bark, as the tree matures, the bark will turn into thick plates. The River Birch will reach 70-100 feet.
