Shipping Information

We dig fresh our plants and ship immediately. We ship US Mail, Priority shipping. You will receive a tracking number once your plants ship. All plants will be fine in their packages for up to 3 days after receiving.

How We Protect Your Plants For Transit

We sell only bare root plants. We dip the roots in tera-sorb silicone gel to retain ample moisture for transit and surround with plastic. This is superior protection for plants in transit for up to 12 days.

Upon Receipt Of Your Plants

Open your plants and inspect the same day received. We offer 3 days to report any problems with your order. Bare root plants need to be planted within 2-3 days of receiving unless weather-related problems prohibit planting. Store in a cool place and keep roots moist and covered with plastic until they can be planted. Water for the first week daily after planting.

Scarlet Red Maple Tree reaches heights between 40 to 60 feet

The search for the perfect tree in many categories often stops at the red maple tree. With the long life, the beauty of the mature tree, ease of choosing a location to grow it, and little or no maintenance, it is an all-around winner for many modern gardeners.

 

 Red maple trees have a wonderfully long life of approximately 90 years, yet some have managed to survive more than a century. That alone can make them the perfect tree to pass down to the next generations. The mature trees will continue to offer their beauty, shade, and living quarters for local birds. Enjoying them can be shared with children and grandchildren throughout the years.

 

 Reaching heights between 40 to 60 feet, these fantastic trees can light up a garden or an entire landscape. Their growth rate is 1 to 2 feet per year, and it adds up quickly over time. They present their leaves in the spring in a soothing dark green, and they mature over the summer and fall into the beautiful red-orange flame color that makes these trees stand out. Younger trees have an appealing light gray trunk that darkens as they mature fully. The grey works as a natural highlight to showcase the flaming leaves.

 Scarlet Red Maple tolerates full sun or partial shade

 The amount of sunlight needed for most trees can be a limiting factor when choosing where to plant them. That is not true of the red maple. It can be planted and grown in an area with full sun all day, but partial shade is acceptable. That means there are no hard decisions when finding the perfect place for future growth in the garden or yard.

 

 Maintenance on some trees may be seasonal or yearly, but the red maple avoids that. You can prune it every three to five years, or it can be allowed to grow out in its natural shape. Less time spent on maintenance means much more time enjoying this beautiful tree with family and friends.
