We dig fresh our plants and ship immediately. We ship US Mail, Priority shipping. You will receive a tracking number once your plants ship. All plants will be fine in their packages for up to 3 days after receiving.

How We Protect Your Plants For Transit

We sell only bare root plants. We dip the roots in tera-sorb silicone gel to retain ample moisture for transit and surround with plastic. This is superior protection for plants in transit for up to 12 days.

Upon Receipt Of Your Plants

Open your plants and inspect the same day received. We offer 3 days to report any problems with your order. Bare root plants need to be planted within 2-3 days of receiving unless weather-related problems prohibit planting. Store in a cool place and keep roots moist and covered with plastic until they can be planted. Water for the first week daily after planting.

The Golden Ragwort Plant (also known as Golden Groundsel) is a perennial from the daisy family boasting beautiful golden yellow flowers and broad, dark green, heart-shaped leaves forming the basal foliage. The natural range of this wildflower covers much of the eastern United States and Canada and Texas and Oklahoma. You will find that Ragwort thrives anywhere from hardiness zone 3 to 9.

Golden Ragwort blooms in the spring but may have a long blooming period, potentially lasting up to a month

 Golden Ragwort is an excellent choice for a dense growing ground cover, as its dark green foliage generally remains year-round and spreads at a moderate pace. In the springtime, you can expect to see stalks of striking yellow flowers appear, which will delight both you and the wide variety of pollinators these will attract. You will draw Bees, butterflies, and various other beneficial insects to these lovely golden flowers. It blooms in the spring but may have a long blooming period, potentially lasting up to a month. The flowers, consisting of yellow petals radiating out from a yellow disk, can range from around 1 to 3 inches across stalks that can sometimes reach upwards of 2.5 feet tall. The flowering stalks, in contrast to the basal foliage, have a few alternating, long oval leaves, which provide a nice visual contrast to the broader basal leaves. 

 

 Golden Ragwort is easy to grow, tolerates various growing conditions, from full sun to partial shade, and prefers slightly acidic, moist soil. It is known as a very adaptable plant that will adjust to the environment you grow it in. It works well in borders, butterfly gardens, containers, pots and can be used to brighten up any dull corner of your yard or garden. That is a trendy addition to various landscapes due to the plant's versatility. You will also find due to compounds the plant naturally produces. This flower is resistant to deer, rabbits, and most other frequent garden pests.
