Coneflower Plant 3 For 12.99 Description

Coneflower Plants

Coneflower Plants, known botanically as Echinacea, are the perfect perennial for your garden.

Coneflower Plants come in various colors, including the Echinacea purpura, with traditional purple blooms. In addition, coneflower Plants have been hybridized and come in vibrant red, orange, and pink shades. Coneflower Plant flowers grow to be 4 feet tall and 3 feet wide. Other varieties of Coneflowers include Yellow coneflowers or Echinacea paradoxa, which grow in multi-stemmed clumps from 3 feet tall and 2 feet wide. In addition, the Narrowleaf Coneflower Plant Echinacea Angustifolia works well in small areas of your home garden, growing from 1 foot to 2 feet tall and wide, bearing pink petals that are paler than the purple coneflower.

Care and Maintenance

It is best to plant Coneflower Plants once the danger of frost has fully passed in spring, yet this flower can also be cultivated throughout early summer. Coneflower Plants enjoy typically bloom in the middle of summer into the fall. When planting your Coneflower Plants, dig a hole with a width twice the nursery container’s diameter. Place the Cornflower Plant's root ball into the hole even with the soil surface. Fill in the rest of the soil, then water the Coneflower Plant generously to encourage deep roots. Coneflower Plants need room to spread their roots for adequate growth. Finally, apply a thin layer of mulch and compost over the planted Coneflowers to prevent weeds.

Place your Coneflower Plants in a spot with the full sun since Coneflowers thrive best in direct sunlight of 6 to 8 hours per day. They are heat resistant and will not dry out or get damaged in the sun. However, if Coneflower Plants get too much shade, they will be vulnerable to mildew and have droopy stems. Coneflower Plants also need well-drained, rich organic soil.

Considerations

Since Coneflower Plants are perennials, giving an added pop of color and vibrancy to your garden. Place them with other plants that attract pollinators and have similar growing needs. Bee Balm, Black-eyed Susan, Lavender, Asters, Lupines, and Larkspur are all excellent choices. Coneflowers are easy to care for and attract pollinators like butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds to your garden landscape.

Coneflower Plants will give your garden much visual appeal.
